>>Grey Matter was the first band i named and started (January 1983) that had an actual bass player, proper gtr/amps & drums (well... the set up i had was with timbales instead of rack toms and the kick drum was plastic and had a wooden kick pedal, and i used metal drum sticks) and tune-able guitar and practiced & performed.

Tracks #6-20 are from a '43 song collection' from our first practice tape (easthampton june 21, 1983)

i wrote lyrics for the group in typing class through june 1983
dan 'chaos' wrote a big part of the first batch... any didn't write any lyrics... danny wrote a bunch, but the best of which appeared a month or two later. we disbanded in february 1984. played hardcore shows, opened for adrenalin o.d., (n.j.) the big boys (austin) Siege, and jerry's kids (boston) etc. we played at the Grange in Greenfield and Pulaski Club in Easthampton & at Smith Voc, then the Battle of The Bands (U-Mass) for our last show....
